Blogging and Latte...blatte?

It's 6:15pm and I'm sitting at the Blue Moose Cafe in Morgantown, WV. It's sunny with a bright blue sky and big fluffy clouds, and Spring is finally showing up. I'm sitting here with my thoughts, and I think about the last time I blogged here. It was actually over 10 years ago and I worked downtown. I wrote in a journal then instead of an iPad. I still have that journal.

Wow, 10 years. A lot has changed, some good, some bad. But mostly good :) it's what hasn't changed that strikes me today though. I still love downtown Morgantown, its vibrant feel and opportunities to people watch. The Blue Moose hasn't changed much. Still great coffee, still a great atmosphere. And I still love sitting with my thoughts, though I don't take anymore time than I did 10 years ago to write them down! Has it really been so long since I last blogged!!??

Of course there have been changes, especially in me. But sitting here in a local coffee shop in the town I grew up in and love feels comfortable. Familiar. West Virginia, especially Morgantown will always be home to me. And who says you can't go home...

...cue the Bon Jovi...
